WHAT SHOULD I BRING IN THE MATERNITY / HOSPITAL BAG?
They say timing is everything, but when it comes to choosing what to take in our personalized maternity bag to the hospital, take it easy. In general, for a woman with a high-risk pregnancy whose doctor believes that delivery may be early (such as a mother with a twin or twin), it is advisable to have everything ready between 35 - 38 weeks of gestation.
However, depending on the hospital, especially if it is public or private, more or less things will be essential and therefore, it is advisable to inquire or call the hospital where we plan to give birth so that they can advise us and provide us with a list of the necessary items. If the hospital is public, surely we will need less things than in a private one, since public hospitals usually provide most of the equipment.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO MAKE A LIST OF NECESSARY THINGS TO TAKE IN YOUR HOSPITAL / MATERNITY BAG.
Normally, mothers who deliver by natural childbirth stay in the hospital for a day or two. Keep in mind that if a cesarean section is performed, we would be talking about an average of three or four days. It is also very important to take into account the length of the hospital stay before starting with our list and starting to fill our maternity bag.
